Identify a population control issue and contact relevant state fish and wildlife agencies to explore existing authorities and mechanisms—such as new or amending hunting seasons—that can be utilized on federal and/or adjacent state lands.
The National Park Service's Ungulate Management Plan, current efforts on NPS lands and other regional efforts show progress towards identifying population control issues and using existing authorities and mechanisms that can be used on federal and adjacent lands.
